The Funniest Fake Receipts We’ve Seen at Fetch Rewards

Here at Fetch, we’ve seen some interesting “receipts” roll through our app over the years. Whether as jokes or genuine attempts at fraud, people have uploaded receipts that range from realistic forgeries to hilarious fakes.

Although it may be tempting to submit your own fake receipts and test if they work, here are a few reasons why that’s not the best idea.

Fetch Firework Fetch Doesn’t Work if People Cheat

In order for Fetch Rewards to keep paying out free gift cards, and other rewards, to our fast-growing user base, we need people to play by the rules. In other words, if you take advantage of a Special Offer and get 1,000 Fetch Points, great! But if you just submit a fake receipt that says you claimed that Special Offer, you’ve stolen points from Fetch and from our partner brand. Don’t spoil the fun for everybody just so you can get a few free gift cards. Instead, help Fetch grow into an even better company that can continue rewarding people for decades to come.

Fetch Firework We Have a Fraud Department that Sniffs out Fakes

If the fact that it’s wrong isn’t persuasive, you should also know that our fraud department is excellent at spotting fakes. Even if you make fake receipts that look extremely convincing, our fraud team uses the latest technology to spot them. Once you’ve been flagged for uploading fake receipts, a hold can be placed on your account, and you can lose the chance of earning lots of future rewards. So do yourself a favor and think long-term. Don’t miss out on a lifetime of rewards for the chance at some easy short-term gain.

Now that you’ve read the boring stuff, about why committing fraud is a bad idea, let’s have a laugh at some of the funniest fake receipts that have crossed our desk. We’d be hard-pressed to convince anyone these were genuine attempts at stealing Fetch Points. Perhaps they were just experiments, acts of creative expression, or good old-fashioned jokes. We certainly found them amusing, and we hope you will too!
